Evgeni Mikhailov – pianist of outstanding personality. The winnings at prestigious competitions such as I Scriabin International piano competition in Russia, I G.Erikson International piano competition in Sweden have amazed with unanimity of jury and audience. After it E.Mikhailov became a prizewinner of competitions in Italy and Switzerland but he had got sensational success in 2002 at I Rachmaninoff International piano competition in Los-Angeles, USA where he became a laureate of I prize.

Hailed by critics for his “incontestable musical talent and musicality” (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Germany), “refinement of his sound” (Piano, Great Britain) as well as “passion, sincerity and lyricism” (Culture, Russia), Russian pianist Evgeni Mikhailov has performed over four hundred concerts around the world – from South America and USA to China. He has appeared at such prestigious venues as Civic Auditorium in Los Angeles, Steinway Hall in New York, St.Martin-in-the-fields in London, Berlin Philharmonic Hall, Concert hall “G.Verdi” in Milan, Salle Cortot in Paris, City Hall in Hong Kong and CRR Concert Hall in Istanbul. He is also a regular guest at many international festivals in Germany (“Berlin - Moskau”), Switzerland (Internationale Musikfestwochen Luzern), Norway (Bergen International festival), Russia (“Kremlin Musical”/N.Petrov), Austria, Sweden, and USA.
Evgeni Mikhailov has performed as a soloist with such orchestras as Deutsche Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Russian National Orchestra, Orchestre National de Belgique, St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic Orchestra, National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra of Montevideo (Uruguay), Mexico city Philharmonic Orchestra collaborating with such prominent conductors as V. Ashkenazy, M. Pletnev, J. Caballe-Domenech, J. Mester, M. Gorenstein, N. Alexeev, V. Ziva and many others.
Evgeni Mikhailov is a prizewinner of many international piano competitions including Scriabin International Piano Competition (Moscow, Russia), Rachmaninoff International Piano Competition (Los Angeles, USA), Pozzoli International Piano Competition (Milan, Italy), and Eriksson International Piano Competition (Sweden) among others.
Evgeni Mikhailov is an acknowledged master of so called “Silver Age” of Russian music – the works of Medtner, Rachmaninoff, and Scriabin. His performances in Great and Small Halls of Moscow Conservatory, Tchaikovsky Hall in Moscow, and Great Hall of St. Petersburg Philharmony have become a valuable tradition and have garnered rave reviews from the international music press including newspapers Musical Review and Culture (Russia), Los Angeles Times (USA), Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (Germany), Kaertner Tageszeitung (Austria) as well as magazines Musical Life (Russia), Piano (Great Britain), Observer (Sweden), La Nation (Argentina) and others.
Mr. Mikhailov has been on the jury of many national and international piano competitions. He has also conducted seminars and master classes in many cities of Russia, USA, South Korea, Sweden, and Switzerland. In 2006 he was invited to give master class and lectures at the World Piano Pedagogy Conference in USA. Many of his students are laureates of Russian national and international competitions and have active concert and teaching careers in Russia and abroad.
